How are ranks saved?
If you have Steam, rank is saved by SteamID, otherwise it's saved by combination of name and IP address. If you have dynamic IP adress, then your rank is not saving. In this case, you need to register, assign nickname to your account and set password for your nickname. Rank is saved by the password then and your nick is protected too. It's neccessary to set the password in game too. Write this line to your config.cfg: setinfo "_hf_pass" "your password"
My nickname is showed multiple times in player list!
This happens when you have nonsteam and dynamic IP. Create new topic in forum and ask about merging nicknames. Then read question How are ranks saved? to prevent this from happening again.
What is war?
War is a period of time during which soldiers are getting points and ranks. There can be more wars at once. Wars are independent, so each soldier has different number of points and rank in each war. Each server is a part of exactly one war.
